The commencement of duties at the Registrar General's Department for the New Year 2026 was held at the department premises under the patronage of the Registrar General, Mrs. S. Jaladeepan, amidst religious observances conducted by the venerable Maha Sangha.
Minister of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government, Dr. Chandana Abeyrathna, and Ministry Secretary, Mr. S. Alokabandara, were also present at the event to extend their New Year greetings to the department staff.
