The Registrar General’s Department officially launched its modernized web portal, www.rgd.gov.lk, on April 7, 2026, aimed at enhancing public accessibility and streamlining service delivery. This digital platform is designed to provide citizens with a more efficient, transparent, and user-friendly experience when accessing departmental information and services.

Complementing this digital transformation, the ‘1930’ dedicated hotline was also inaugurated to provide immediate assistance and resolve public inquiries regarding departmental procedures. The event was graced by the presence of Hon. Minister of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government, Mr. A.H.M.H. Abayarathna, Deputy Minister Mr. Ruwan Senerath and Mr. Aloka Bandara, Secretary to the Ministry, Mrs. S. Jaladeepan, Registrar General along with senior officials of the Department.

The 1930 Call Center assists the public with inquiries regarding departmental services, while the new website provides convenient access to information and services related to the department.
