Obtaining a License for the First Time by a Notary
Documents to be submitted,
An application accurately completed in clear handwriting. Application.
A certified copy of the Certificate of Enrollment as an Attorney-at-Law. This must be certified by the Registrar of the Supreme Court.
The certificate confirming that the applicant has served a one-year apprenticeship in notarial practice after taking oaths as an Attorney-at-Law, in accordance with the Notaries (Amendment) Act, No. 31 of 2022.
A copy of the National Identity Card.
The receipt for the payment of Rs. 3,000/- made to the Department's Shroff as the license fee to obtain the notary license.
Action will be taken to issue the relevant license upon the submission of the above documents.
